Why is success so elusive for most people?

By Barry Sarner

Why is success so elusive for most people? They make it harder than it really is, That's why...

Success really is a simple process.... These are the 6 very powerful steps for building a powerful future.

Follow them and enjoy the success you have always dreamed of.

1- You decide what you really need. You won't make it if you just want it. You must need it. You're absolutely totally committed to this "need". There is no turning back. You have done the dreaming and the research and now there is no doubt about the Vision. You're going for it! You need it! You're not going to let anyone or anything stop you.

2-You are willing to take extraordinary action. You don't care how many hours in a day you have to work,You don't care what tasks you have to do, you don't care how much you have to travel, you will do whatever you have to do to succeed. Anything!!!

3-You are constantly vigilant as to what is working and what is not. CONSTANTLY! You should quietly and calmly review your findings on a daily basis. You should keep a journal on everything you see, think, feel and even suspect. A pattern will emerge if you remain open. Expect failure and then fight like a mad person to make sure it doesn't happen. I call this my preventative attitude. It keeps you sharp and prepared.

4-You stay Nimble and Flexible. You love your product the way it is and no matter what you'll make people buy it. Right? Wrong! Ask questions...Questions will help bring the Big Bucks. Who, why, what, where, when and How. Ask...Ask...Ask. If people working with you are a wrong fit do them a favor, and yourself, and help them leave and find a job that's right for them. Don't fall in love with anything or anyone. It's an attitude that is good for everyone.

5- Continue to change your approach, based on all the information you have accumulated, until you achieve your goals. If you have to change to a less glamorous course of action after hearing the reality of the situation so be it. Do Not fall in love with today.. Change is coming...You will always have to start "all over again" tomorrow. Get used to it.

6-NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, GIVE UP..... it's impossible, I repeat, it's impossible to fail if you adamantly refuse to give up, give in or go home.

Follow these steps and you can't fail.

As I said if you never give up, give in or go home there is no failure.

There is retreat though. You enable your organization to rest. You plan your next move, you review all the steps above and then launch your offensive.

Good Luck!

See you on the open road...

Best wishes
Barry

CHANGE IS GOOD? IT'S All ABOUT YOUR ATTITUDE

There's a saying: "Change is good." There are plenty of times in life when you might be tempted not to believe those words. You lose the job you've relied on for ten years. How is that a good thing? If you believe in your heart that it's a good thing, it is a good thing, because the belief that "change is good" will automatically lead to positive change in your life.

This is not an airy-fairy feel-good band aid theory. It has been embraced by positive thinkers around the world for thousands of years. Some of them you have never heard of and some of them, like Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and other great leaders are beacons of light to all of humanity. Ask yourself this: who has ever created positive change through negative thinking? Negative thinking is destructive to you and to everyone around you.

Positive thinking is always empowering - Always.

Viktor Frankl was a great neurologist and psychologist who lived through the horrors of the Nazi concentration camps. He survived that experience by finding meaning and value in life even under the most horrific conditions. One of his most famous sayings is this: "Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom."

If you lose your job suddenly, that is a stimulus for change. Your freedom lies in your response - your decision. If you believe that change is good, you will bring about positive change in your life. Suddenly, what looked like bleakness and poverty becomes a doorway to possibility that would have been closed to you had you not lost your job.

Nobody's saying there won't be challenges ahead of you. If you were making fifty or a hundred thousand dollars a year and suddenly find yourself having to work as a cleaner in a factory just in order to eat, it's going to be a difficult transition. But while you're cleaning the floors, you can think about that novel you always wanted to write but never did and when you go home at night, you can work on it.

Who knows, you may even find that sweeping floors is a pleasant change from your formerly stressful job! Now that your "safe career" is gone, you have the freedom to nourish your creative side. Even if it never pays you a dime, it can provide you with riches that money just can't buy. Just nourishing your inner genius is a positive change and is sure to lead you in other positive directions.

Believe it: you are the captain of your fate. Think positive and positive things will happen. They may not be the things you expected or even wanted, but if you embrace change with a positive attitude, you can't help but learn, grow and thrive.

Success? You need To Know Nothing Else But These Two Principles

BY BARRY SARNER

I started reading personal development books over 30 years ago. I know now that they all say the same thing 3 million different ways and the same exact thing 6 million ways. . . . And even better than that I know the authors become rich trying to teach all of us how to be rich.I am also a great believer that change is good

All these books and speaking events keep you feeling powerful and invincible for at least a week after you finish the book or after the event that you paid the $100 to hear someone tell you to think positive thoughts. You know, and I know, that your reality knows exactly when to jump back in and have you twist and shout.

Regardless of all this, and now you'll think I'm definitely certifiable, you need to keep doing it. Be discriminating, but continue reading and listening. The major point, and possibly the biggest life changing point to remember, is that you "JUST NEVER KNOW".

You never know how that one word , that one sentence, the one way someone says something a little differently, even after you heard it a dozen times, you never know what it will open up for you.

That flashpoint or Aha moment could change the direction of your whole life. That's why I keep reading and searching.

I always felt that I should keep reading and asking questions because otherwise I would never know if something I read or heard would be powerful enough to change my life. My biggest and most impactive moment was when I read the following excerpt from "Good To Great" By Jim Collins:

"You must maintain unwavering faith that you can and will prevail in the end, regardless of the difficulties, AND at the same time have the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be."

In my opinion this principle should be the cornerstone of your success journey and all the elements that are used should be built around this principle.

It's so simple but so powerful. . . . . .If you want to succeed, you need to cultivate your ability to do these two HARD things at the same time:

1-Stay firm in your belief that you will prevail in the end (HOPE)
2-Confront the brutal facts around you. Deal with your Reality.

I believe it impacted me in a ginormous way because it said to me:

1-You don't have to feel great all the time on your success journey. You don't have to be positive 24/7
2-Everyone has tough times and to be successful you need to push through the darkness. You're not the only one getting your butt kicked.
3-It's ok to be afraid and sad but you have to admit it and move through it.
4-If you believe and maintain Hope in every part of your body and mind you can make it to the other side.

Did you have that one event, one word or one situation that set off the fireworks that lit up the darkness and moved you on to the road of success ?

We would love to hear about it . . . . .

Good Luck

Best wishes now and forever
Barry
